All Bears Bike:
At the beginning of the unit, only about 10% of kindergarteners could successfully ride a bike and as of now, roughly 90% of our kindergarten students can independently ride. All the children were very motivated to learn to ride a bike. We also feel very blessed to have the support of the foundation as well as the school system, and several community organizations who donated extra bikes and helmets for our students to use. This has been a truly fantastic program for our school community and we are very grateful!

Kind Words
“The grant has positively impacted our entire school community. Not only did students learn to ride a bicycle, but they were also inspired to read Beverly Cleary’s The Mouse and The Motorcycle which focuses on a young mouse who learns to ride a motorcycle and in the process becomes a hero! At our school’s culminating event of this project, students were invited to bring bikes in and ride on our track with families.”
