Learning through Play:
New Instruments at Natural Bridge Elementary
To date, every student at NBES has had the opportunity to play both the contrabass bars and temple blocks in music class. We have used the temple blocks to add to songs we are learning and to stories as sound effects. The contrabass bars have been used with some of our xylophone ensemble pieces we learn in grades 3-5, but also as a way to introduce sound/vibration in all of the grades, PK-5. The students and I are excited about using these instruments for years to come!
